whirling sound from the engine???

Hi all i had a new engine put in my astra a few months ago the car has been runin braw since but now theirs a realy loud whirlin sound comin from the engine what could this be??? any ideas??

could be the auxillary drive belt / tensioner / alternator, usually the tensioner dunno..

but the noise would alter with the engines revs.

also it might be something silly like something is touching the belt notsure.gif

best get a mate to have a quick look or maybe a member might live close by and can have a little look for you 🙂

failing that a garage should see the problem
