Hi Johnny. Still enjoying the conversion, I hope?

It's the TMS 4-1 manifold. Tres expensive but really is a work of art and great quality, close up. Have just about given up on hearing anything from 2Bular in the immediate future and needed to replace my cracked manifold and get the custom map before Le Mans. So, unfortunately, my choices were a little limited. Will try and fit it to the VX this weekend and then the car's in for a day of mapping on the 11th (I'm off to Le Mans on the 12th so couldn't cut it much finer).

That looks awesome. I can't help wondering what the performance impact of having the gas changing direction that much vs. the gain from having equal lengths is though? Are you going to wrap it or leave it like that so you can dribble at it? I bet it gets a bit toasty 😃

The radical direction changes were a concern for me but I'm assured it is effective. I guess the proof will be on the 11th when the car is mapped to suit. Again, I was a little worried about the heat as I'd visualised the manifold actually coming up much higher towards the underside of the bootlid but I'd only seen it on a clamless car before. It does look to sit quite low so hopefully there will be enough space to cool it, a bit. Worst case sceanrio - I won't need to pack a BBQ for Le Mans. I think wrapping it will be a pain in the proverbial and I'd probably never do a decent job on it. Maybe I should send it up to 2Bular for Jim to ceramic coat it.

I'll grab a picture in the morning as the manifold pics on the TMS site seem to have a different tube layout to this "new" one, in case it is different internally. I think the pics on the TMS site are still of the original version that was developed for the NA but didn't fit due to it being developed on a car with a turbo rear clam or an NA clam with no boot (can't remember the exact story).

the original was fitted to the race car which had a turbo clam, so wouldn't fit with a na clam, thus the newer design...
