Could anyone help describe or have a diagram of the way coolant is routed through our engine? Including the inlets and outlets for the radiator and heating system.
I am going to be fitting an EWP (electric water pump) so that I can take the balance shaft/water pump chain off. I have a position in mind, it's what I think it the main outlet from the engine (aux side, quite high up next to the intake manifold, can't miss it), because it has quite a simple pipe (at least in my vx220) that I can integrate the pump into easily.
I know where the mechanical pump is, but it's hard to work out at what point in the circuit it actually is (is it at the inlet or outlet?), as it looks like water comes out into the thermostat from the block, passes through the metal pipe under the exh manifold, into the water pump, then back into the engine...
diagram would be best if there is one 🙂
