As for the Merlin's, well it really depends if we get the bits to fix them first which are servicable (Agusta makes them so we always give them a really good inspection.QA issues..Hmmmmmmm) say no more and as long as the seat to machine interface does not push to many buttons or muck around you can get up to 20hrs before they need servicing again.
Not to bad for 50 million quid. what..
Never mind, got to go and get the kids tea as wife is out to PTA meeting.....again....

The pictures are from my new 55mm-200mm lense I bought while down in Cornwall. We were in the public viewing area, which is quite near the runway, but far enough to need a zoom lense to see any detail.

If you were in the viewing enclosure the hangars on you're right as you look across the airfield is where i will be from the first week in June.
I can think of better things to look at in cornwall especially as it was a nice sunny day. (not been to many of them).
Got to go lie down now having exhausted myself typing all this, :lol:

lol, I'm certainly not a spotter! We were on our way back to Penzance from Falmouth, and decided to pop across to test the new lense I'd just bought for my camera.

We'll be back down that way again in September I think (as long as I get my leave approved)

Only joking really. It's good to see people actually taking an interest in what goes on down here in Culdrose and actually calling it RNAS instead of RAF as most news readers and radio people seem to do. Obviously the're brains cannot compute that the Navy actually have aircraft.
It's the largest Air Station in Europe apparently, well so goes all the literature. Also always busy during the year with the search and rescue sqn operating from here.
Take it easy all of you, got so work to do now that the computer has finally caught up with the job it was processing for me,
