well just had my anoying rattle looked at again..it one of them probs i had since nov and it intermitent.will only happen in 1st and 2nd gear and it normaly when you slowing down and crawling in traffic...towns etc.very anoying tho.took place where bought car and evvery time there mechanic took out he cudnt hear it.it only happend when car is at operating temp.took car to my garage and they put on ramps.checked the exhasut etxc engine mountings and they all ok.did road test and did some slow driving in first and second and you could hear it briefly.seems to be coming form the passenger side front.when you dip the clucth just as the noise happens it goes.does sound now like a nosiy bearing type noise.hard to explain on here tho..well he reckons it the thrust bearing on the clucth.it either dry or 1 of the ball bearing has come out.not hundred percent sure tho without stripping down etc.said i could either put up with the noise or change the clucth etc but i would be look at 250 to have done.does this sounfd resoanbale ?? is there any other options with tht kind of complaint with the bearing apart from whole ,ot done??/
