Wife smahed up Zafira on Saturday
So we are planning on doing it up again with new front end, we will be putting in new engine as engine was knocking from below.
were is best place to obtain an engine,
Ebay has s/h for 850 which seems abit steep.
how much are main dealer engines?
who are best for recon engines?
Help much appreciected
How hard is replacement bumper lights etc?

ebay is cheap compared to refurbed and new vaux engines...

refurbed your looking bout £1,400

vuax think its bout £2,000

if you search the forums there was some one who posted a link for a refurbed engine place for £1.4k you might be better to get one at this price unless you can do the chain your self while its out

Have been looking at vectra 2.2 engine but megavaux say they will not fit zafira?
Can anyone give definite answer?

diffrent... never heard that pm vocky or daz they will have the answer but i am under the impression any z22se will fit the only thing is with the vectra they need the hex hole in the cams but as yours is for the zafira then you dont need to worry

and new valves.
Do piston rings go?
So anyone got a crankshaft / bearings at all?

all z22se engines will fit the zafira, as already said it's the vectra which needs the hex drive on the inlet cam

the hex drive is simply a hexagon hole in the end of the inlet cam, makes no difference to astra / zafira / vx220 they can simply have the existing blanking plate swapped over to cover the mounting

i got a remanufactured engine from these guys it cost me £1400, the engine is rebuilt by vege which is an international co. that do engines. mine has been fitted for just over a year now and has been absolutely fine, they are easy to deal with and i would recomend them to anyone. infact the garage that fitted my engine said if he needs to order an engine he would use these , he was so impressed.

the only thing i had to do was swap the sump from my old engine because the astra doesnt have the low oil sensor fitted to it.

think you'l be looking around £200 - £500 depedant where you are and take it

i got engine for astra sri 04plate for 750 it had done 58thousand miles it was form a com dwn south they were gr8 with me they also do other parts if you want their name msg me back!!!
