baldie87 i wouldnt bother HP = bad the amd processor is ok for its time but is well out of date.. its 2ghz which is quite good for a laptop but i would recommend getting an intel core 2 duo laptop if you can mate
Hannibal like baldie said , go for an intel dual core , probably best to shop for it online although a little bit more something like this would be better : http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showprodu ... 72&subcat=

Why do you say it's a Bad thing?
baldie87 i wouldnt say its a bad thing but its not a respectable company in many eyes... you can get a better manufactuer and same spec for the same money its all down to personaly pref at end of the day
Jamee mate in currys said (he sounds quite clued up)...that for under £500 it is the best as it's 2.0GHz, nVidia 256mb graphics card, Turion 64 motherboard, 2gb ram, LC processor amd turion 64 TL-60, lightscribe dvd rewriter, built in cam.
baldie87 this seems a good laptop http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139159 but a computer is ment to suit your needs mate so it depends what you want it for theres always going to be somthing better out there like everything else
baldie87 also i had the amd processor above running at 2.2ghz as stock and got another laptop which was the core 2 duo running at 1.86gzh stock and i have to say i think the core 2 is quicker than the amd
Jamee i only want it for DL films, storing photos, online, but obviously i want something fast, also wireless capable, built in cam, and black or my car blue in colour.
Jamee that one above sounds fine, apart from the battery life, the hp one is 8 cell. Also i want one that is slim and small, there was a nice 17" one in currys, but it was smaller than most 15.4" ones.
baldie87 if you download alot i wouldnt do it on a laptop as you could burn it out as they do get very very hot
Jamee i dont dl alot, used to, but now i got the bluray, i dont burn no more, just watch them and delete them, i do dl smallville, bionic woman every week tho.
Matt baldie87 said: if you download alot i wouldnt do it on a laptop as you could burn it out as they do get very very hot My HP ones doesn't. I leave mine running all week sometimes as I also use it for work. As long as you give it adequate cooling, it will be fine
baldie87 wouldnt dare leav mine on all the time, base unit yes but not the lappy... personaly the only well cooled laptops i think are gaming laptops like alienware etc..
Matt My fans hardly kick in, so I'm not concerned about leaving mine running. My old one sort of cooked itself, as AVG used the CPU at 100% for about 15 hours, while cooling was limited (left it on the carpet overnight), but the HP one is fine
