After getting the advice from you guys last night, I phoned garage 8am this morning to tell them NOT to touch my car or order the part, I explained about the cheater to him and he laughed!...
I went and got the car, which was totally flat, I wasnt ammused, and got charged £40! I also printed the page off this site where vocky posted about the cheater, and gave it to the man at the garage, he read it and said for a tenner its worth a try!! dont think he was too ammused being as he intended to charge me just under £300. It drove home quite nice, didnt feel sluggish, or any worse than usual.
Tomorrow Daz and Jamee are going to fit the cheater for me.. (nice people) lol, then all should be well. This has all started just from the EML light coming on, its doing my head in now!
