Kenwood Headunit

Hi all,.

Im after fitting a new head unit to the car (astra g) (kenwood) anyways im wondering what leads I need to get the steering wheel controls to work and the dash display too, can both be done or is it just the controls that can be done.

both can be done mate but the dash is expsensive its somthing like £90+

steering wheel controls can be done for about £40 you need to check see what work with kenwood for example auto leads dont work with pioneer if you get me.....

but any auido will stock like halfords etc....

you'l need 2x wires

1x main wire to connect to car
1x patch lead for your manufactuer of headunit

I take it these are the 2 leads required for the car on ebay to get both working?

New stereo now fitted with steering controls working with it, now what exactly do I need for the dash display to work with it aswell?

When I got a Kenwood headunit working in my parents old Vectra, we needed to buy an extra unit which went between the HU and the display. Cost about £100 if I remember correctly, just so they could see the name of the radio station or the track time on the display.....not worth it imo.
