my engine uses a lot of oil. First I want to do next week is to measure how much it uses. I already got a scaled measuring tank.
The 3 main things are: piston rings, valve gaskets and head gasket.
A CO-test was done and negative. Next I want to check the compression.
The engine hast 176.000 kilometers. But all driven by myself. No chain snapping and excellent service with quality oil in time and so on through all the time.
What should I check next, before to isolate the problems? In worst case, I would change all the 3 things, cause I definetely want do keep the car for the next couple of years.
