Yea John I will need to call the insurance about this again :roll:
I had talked with them before about it when I was speaking with Mark last year about the convertion and they told me they would take me but it would be "pricey" 🙁 depending on how much they are going to be asking for it might be a T888 8) if I can find one :roll: as I am starting to feel the need for more power was driving my mates Leon Cupra FR the other day it has been modded to the max but when I drove it when he got it I was like WOW but I REALLY want the SC covertion after having that drive in Marks car drool.gif so fingers crossed I will be able to get a realistic qoute wish I hadn't stayed on my Dads insurance for so long now but not much I can do now! :evil:

Wich cam`s do Courtenay use in their SC setup?

Courtenay use standard cams normally but they had already fitted mine with Schrick cams about 18 months ago.

I took out my first unimpressed passenger this evening. 🙁

My 76 year old Dad! :lol:

We had a softly paced ride down the road to warm up a bit then out onto the main road. Was driving in the traffic and then it was a clear road ahead as the car in front turned off. I dropped to 2nd gear and buried my foot into the carpet. Needless to say my old man went fuckin bonkers. He even slapped me in the leg!! pmsl..

Got a big bollocking just like when I used to be a teenager. Drove home nice and sedated after that. :roll:

LOL Thanks John yea tbh I've been wasting cash on too much crap seems to burn a hole in my pocket so have to spend what I have I did have 5k towards the conversion before Mark had finished his and priced the Astra up or it would have been done then! 🙁
But the house had to take priority I sat Danielle down and had a serious talk with her showed her your vids and her seeing my face like a cheshire cat when driving back in from the pilot drive with Mark 8) 😃 😃 😃 and she said just go for it :shock:
I think at first she thought it was gonna be another case of what happened with the Silver H/Back spending an unbelevable amount to just give it away to Daryn (my we bro) but after speaking with Mark Watts wife and finding out that the car could still be used as a daily driver she's happy for me to get it done... 😃 😃 😃
I've had so many people trying to talk me out of doing the conversion and just getting a T888 or Coupe Turbo and modding that and tbh I was nearly off the idea but that drive in Marks Astra then watching that video of yours it has just put the push back into me to get it done so Danielle's took the credit card etc and she's just giving me a "realistic" amount of cash so I'll need to call Mark and have a talk with him about it see what's what and get the ball rolling when I build the cash up again which with D controlling the cash now shouldn't be too long...lol

Is it every day driveable I mean does it handle well with the extra BHP & torque ?

The car drives OE. Of course the power is there instantly if required and providing you have a good suspension setup, the power is deliverd quite smoothly. If you pull away from the traffic lights and give it a bootfull it will get rather frantic and you'll need to change gear quite quickly. Its no different to driving a turbo but with no lag. As quoted by Courtenay 'The car drives like a modified 3.0ltr V6'.

Pmsl.. my daughter is taller than me, i have to stretch to slap her!... but, it just goes to show ur never to old for a slap!! rofl..
