Newbie.....High Mileage Question

hello all
just signed up as im looking at buying a 2.2 zafira elegance, i was pointed in this direction from vvoc 🙂
One of the zafiras ive seen has 150,000 miles but full vauxhall service history?
The other has 120,000 but only Part service history?

I basically wondered what mileage these engine are good for? notsure.gif
Also ive heard alot of stories on other 'vaux' forums about the dreaded cam chains.......
Is there any where you can check online/or by phone to see if this has been changed?

and finally what are the engines like? Reliable? Quick? any other usfull info appreciated 🙂

from 11065400 engine code the chains had the modified oil jet which caused most of the probs,
The engines are great had mine 4 years now been 100% reliable so far not to slow with a few choise mods either.

I would stick with the full history, but try and find out whether they have a pair of new chains (cam and balancer shaft)

life span = 100,000 miles then replacement is required
