Steering Vibration??

ive recently bought a Vectra 150 Sri, ive noticed that when i get to 80mph the steering wheel shakes and vibrates quite violently, more so when i take my foot off the accelerator.

ive just had the car fully serviced and the wheels were balanced so its not that.

im really struggling with ideas on what the problem may be, anyone got any ideas? this is my first vectra so if its a common problem i apolagise. dunno..

Try putting the rear wheels on the front of the car see if that cure it could still be wheel balancing? this way you will know for sure.

if above dont work, it sounds like warped wheel.

thanks lads ill give that a try today, im after some new wheels anyway so ill find out soon enough

yeah sounds like a balance problem... i know you just had it serviced but if there the standard alloys on the car then some garages use the old crappy weights on the outside off the wheel the more modern weights are flat and are on the inside off the alloy .. if you see what i mean..... hope its not a big problem m8

yeah they did use the crappy outside the wheel weights.

think i should take it back and make him do it properly?

either the wheels are poorly balanced or a wheel is buckled

try a good tyre garage, not kwik twats
