2" bb, shite or good with a 2,5" middle??

Hi guys.

I gotta new back box on, I love the sound, and I think it looks good.

It's standard 2" and I'm considerning tuning so my question is if it's possible to keep this back box (I love it) and still get more horse power with say:

*pre cat removal ( I know its a must)
+

a 200 cell cat
+
2,5" middle section??

Or will the smaller back box block the extra power from getting out??

you should get a slight increase with a 2.5" centre section and a 2.5" down pipe. Daz on here has a standard centre section (IIRC) and 2.5" down pipe and he a faily impresive BHP

OK so you recon the standard inch BB will actually block some bhp then?

If you have 2.5" from downpipe all the way back, you should only have a 2" duplex system, any more and it will let too much back pressure out, i have the 2.5" downpipe, 200 sports cat, and 2.5" all the way back to my 2" remus BB, and it is restricting it, i need a new BB as it is only a single one i have.

ok hmm... let me get this straight: First you say that one should have a 2" duplex BB (as I have) to get enough back pressure... but then you're saying that you, yourself, has a 2" BB that's restricting your system?? Contradiction?? :roll:

You mean that a duplex 2" is what you should have with your set up? I'm I right?? Sorry for messing it up notsure.gif

Jamee has a single 2" backbox, this restricts his power

if he fitted twin 2" backboxes (the same as yours) this would release some power

fitting twin 2.5" backboxes would loose back pressure and thus power

Ok then, since you guys gave me a green light performancewise, now i just need to find a new 2,5" down pipe + sports cat + centre section... anybody got these parts for sale ? cheers..

You might be better going to an exhaust specialist over by you mate, you should have them, here is a link to the 200 cell sports cat i bought, he will post you as well.
