I use a crowbar and lever the cv from the gearbox
at the hub end I remove the split pin, remove the nut and then use a rubber mallet or a hard piece of wood and a bid hammer
It looked like the cv gaitor was split, hopefully the cv will be ok
to remove the cv from the shaft you need to open the circlip inside the cv (it's full of disgusting black grease) and then tap the cv off whilst holding the circlip open, yes it's hard but you will get there in the end
I think the outer cv is the same as an astra 2.0 gsi, Luna_s replaced his, might be worth asking him.
