Concerned about my cam chain

Hi everyone. This is my first message in the board, I'm a new member.
I got here looking for information about cam chains for this engine. I own an Astra G with this engine and I'm a little bit concerned about the cam chain issue.

I don't remember this issue has ever been repaired on my engine. I wondered if maybe they did it without telling me. My engine seems to be in the affected range (11026024). It's a 2001 Astra G and the mileage right now is 143.000 km (₈₉.000 miles). I've heard about a blue (or was it green?) dot painted on certain piece in the engine, indicating the rework had been done. Where exactly can I search for that dot?. I've seen some pictures in an old topic, but they were too close to give an idea of where exactly that is. I suppose it has to be on the left hand side of the engine, looking from the front of the car. But I would appreciate some more indications about where to look for it and calm down a little bit (or definitely start screaming). :?

Maybe I'm a little paranoid but what's concerning me is a slight noise that comes from the right hand side of the engine when driving. It's quite low, only hardly noticeable when idling and I would swear it's there since many, many thousand km. But reading about this issue I'm concerned about it being something related to cam chain.

Any help would be appreciated.

you need to consider having both chains replaced, they are only good for 100,000 miles or 160,000 km anyway.

you will most likely still have the early chain, there is no way of checking without removing the cam cover and checking the coloured links.

I finally found that hexagonal cap I've seen in other topics. Mine has not one, but two white dots painted on it. So that seems to indicate that at least the nozzle has been changed at some time.

Anyway I'll have both chains replaced as soon as possible, as you recomend. Maybe the dealer knows what manteinance has ever been done to my timing chain. But for sure if something was done, it was in 2001 or 2002 so the chain must have nearly those 143.000 km.
