Is this going to be going on a Desktop or Laptop?

I've been running Linux in parallel with Windows for over 2 years now, and it does work really well. Ubuntu is meant to be one of the best Home User installations. Give it a try, as it's a live CD, which means you can run it to make sure it works, without actually installing it/modifying your Harddrive

Finally installed this. Graphics card worked straight away (with a download) but had a bit of hassle getting the wireless card to work.

Did you install this Roger? I've got mine all up and running, but the wireless card isn't supported with the naitive drivers, so I've had to intall ndiswrapper, which works, but there is also a bug in how Ubuntu loads it, so a secondary fix is required each time you restart the laptop.

I think I'll be going to Fedora when I get back from my Holidays.

Yes, I have had no troubles with my wireless card, I tried Fedora and guess what the wireless card didn't work out of the box so went back to Ubuntu.

lol, I bet if I try Fedora my wireless will work a lot better than it does on Ubuntu
