Windows Media Centre Issues

My windows media centre is stuttering all the time, it's having trouble playing the tv channels what.. . The picture is sticking, audio is jumping with it. How can I get it back to normal again notsure.gif . Cheers for any info 🙂

Is it just TV channels it is having issues with?

Is it fine with everything else?

If so could be a reception fault or even the TV card could have a hardware fault.

Or a software fault with the TV Card. Is Media Center using it's own drivers etc, or the ones which come with the card?

I have plenty of memory and it's always been fine til I put an update in it a while back. Everytime I now open up a picture or open a program up my pc fan kicks in. It never used to. What should I do? I am running Xp

Have you rolled back the OS to before you installed the Update?

Hmm, I dunno mate, as I had issued with my graphics card when I updated the drivers on them, and the only fix was to roll back the drivers which Vista installed during the update.

Are you running Vista?

Yes. I am looking for an update now for my graphics driver, if it can't find one I will try and roll it back 🙂

This new version of the Windows Mobile Device Center contains key improvements and new features to support Windows Mobile 6 devices. The Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1 is only supported on Windows Vista.
