A work mate picked up a new VXR when the 08 reg came out.
Well today, he threw me the keys and said take it for a spin, well it would have been rude to refuse a offer like that.
The car has got the optional 19's and a few other bits.
Well intal thoughts are the seats are amazing, seem to hold you right in all the correct places.m
Took it really steady and let the engine get nice and warm, while taking it steady the car felt really solid, no rattles. You could tell the brakes could stop if / when required, but at 30 was very progressive.
Engine nice and warm and then gave it the beans in second and third :shock: rallygif. I could not tell it was a turbo at all, no lag or sudden wallop of power, just nice and smooth all the way to near the redline 🙂
Current mpg at that point was 6mpg though rofl..
I couldnt really tell much differance with the sports button on or off dunno..
Overall i was really impressed.
Question would i buy one ?
