New type of injector`s fitted today, no EML!!

Today I finaly got time to fit my Accel 30Lbs injectors, had to change the connectors to make them fit, but it was worth it, have been driving a lot today to let the ECU get used to them. Logged the AFR and its running a bit rich so I will lean it of at high revs, but thats all. No EML!!! The car runs much smoother now, and it feel`s much more agressive. The OE injectors can differ up to 7% but these are macthed to have maximun 1.5% different flow.
A great alternative to the SC injectors.

I`ve just putted them in and started the car, then you have to take it for a drive to let the ECU settle, no need for a remap. I bougth them from summit-racing

No I bougth some injector adapters, that I thougth would fit, but they didn`t :oops: so I just modified them a little bit and made it work without cutting in the OE harness.

Delphi connectors are a complete whore to get hold of unless you are buying thousands 🙁

just cutting the harness and repalcing with the "bosch" type connectors is an easy task, and cheap from vehicle wiring products.

Depends on how high bhp setup you mean, I use them because my car were running lean wit the OEM injectors and I live in Norway, so Im not able do get a remap from anyone nearby. I have got piper cams, 2.4 inlet, ported TB, full exhaust etc. Dont know how much BHP dunno.. But the car runs much smoother with these injectors and it`s not running lean 😃

not very high, definately sub-200bhp... I (will) have very similar setup to you.. panel filter, 2.4 inlet, dbilas cams, dbilas manifold, magnaflow cat, courtenay back box

Think I'm going to get some, is there anywhere I can get them in the UK?

for a guide, the 2.0 sc injectors are rated at 217 bhp, that doesn't mean they only go to 217 bhp, but were designed to operate at that power.

2.2 injectors were designed to run at 168 bhp - around that figure, I can't remember the exact bhp :oops:

Vocky, how do you think my 2.4 inlet, stage 1 comp cammed car would run with the 2.0 sc injectors, and no remap?

I also have the 2.4TB to fit as soon as there's a solution 63..

the 2.0 sc injectors NEED a remap, I tried using them without and the engine dies at 5000 rpm

Thats one of the positive things with the Accel injectors, you can use them without a remap, plus they are much more accurate.

Accel injectors are for sale, couldn`t resist the supercharger whiine 🙂
