Balance chain kit

Hi Newbe here .

I've just bought a X reg vectra 2.2 CdX and after hearing the horror stories with the cam chain problems I am in the process of changing the cam and balancer shaft chains .I've just picked up the kits for the Cam and Balancer shafts but there isn't a new coolant pump sprocket which I assumed would be included in the kit. Quick question should there have been a new spocket in the kit and if not should I buy one and change it anyway ?

according to the epc the sprocket is seperate, but it should be ok to re-use it 🙂

Didn't know if I was being shortchanged or not. Old one looks ok but think I'll pop back down the stealers and see how much a new one is and perhaps change it for piece of mind .

If I was you, I wouldn`t bother, as Neil says the old one will be ok to use.
