picked this 04 2.2 sri up about a month ago, stuck some new style vectra sri alloys on it, changed the tyres today to 215 40 17 uniroyal rain sports, next on my plans are to get it lowered a tad.

Nice car mate, not seen that size tyre on that rim before. The usual alternate is 225/45/17.

the wheels had 215 50 17,s on it which looked way to bulky on the car so the proper size of tyres required according to all the alloy wheel sites is 215 40 17 so thats what i went for, as said will look nicer with a wee drop in height.

Yep your right mate, the stock tyre for the vec C 17 is the 215/50/17 and as you say look a bit wrong. Not a very common size either so are expensive.

thought that was how all irmscher exhausts sat on an astra lol, doesnt look that far out to me.

mine never used too and wen we fitted em at vauxhall i never had one that stook out like that!

fitting these spring are a peice of cake on the astra so you should be able to do them yourself so free fitting?
