Can you get them for headunits?? Just wondered? Drakey's Kia has one :shock: it seems like a really good idea (don't tell him I said that) he has a USB dongle which plugs in the dash with all his music on (mainly rubish though) and he can play it and control it from the unit or steering wheel controls

Just an up-graded head unit that would accept a SD card would do the job wouldnt it? ...but you wish to keep your screen no doubt! Has your unit got any other spare i/ps that would accept some thing that would take an SD reader?

(top music only allowed in my car - the Westlifes for Kate :oops: , but yes its a handy bit of kit, albums/folders selected via the dash controls and individual songs skipped/selected via the steering wheel)
As it was an i-pod connector was shocked how simple it was with just a memory stick - just as well really!!!! 😃

you can get add ons for head units such as pioneer cb-100 i think it is or you can get other units with usb plug on back and front of them i know jvc and kenwood do them but never really heard anything bout them

I have got plenty of RCA imput in the unit so could conect up an exturnal head phone jack as an input but would not be able to control it from the unit? I might just get the Ipod interface?

What about an Rf modulator that you could tune into your existing radio???

Im quite lucky having the set up Ive got, nice and tidy out of the way, Kia even supplied me with the link cable for an i-pod (I haven`t got one hence using the stick).

As said before, the contols (under CD slot) control the main folder/album, and the steering wheel the individual tracks.

Oh, and as the engines a bit looser, gve it a bit of a harder drive home from work, played havoc with my Av MPG

have a look, you could link up an amp while still retaining the oe stereo.
