LCD & Sky owners

I have always wanted a bigger TV.

So after doing some reasearch and saving i bought a 37" Samsung LE37R88BD TV, they have come down in price since last week when i got it but ow well.

So i decided to get Sky to go with it. It is only Standard Def sky.

But i am slightly dissapointed. When watching it every now and then you get fuzzy edges around objects etc. Football was pritty bad. On close up shots the picture is crystal clear, just when it was on all the players.

I had a look at my mates sony 42 and that is similar.

XBOX is amazing.

I am just slightly dissapointed. I knew lcd was never going to be as good as CRT but not sure it was worth all the cash TBH.

Is this just how LCD is or has SKY got to do with it. dunno..

It's just how Sky looks mate. Mine is the same on the 42". The picture from the standard free view which is built in is a lot better.

We are saving up to get Sky HD, as we are disappointed as well with the picture quality.

My 42" vierra plasma is ok, football looks nice and sharp, perhaps its the settings Si, go onto www.avforums.com and take a look, they have all the info, settings, problems on all tvs.

I may have a play around with the settings but like you say matt, standard digital does look better then SD sky.

I've spent many an hour looking on there, they have some amazing set ups

Go into ure sky box settings si and alter the output from pal to rgb....that helps a bit..

Well thanks Lads.

After searching on AV forums i have tweaked the TV settings and thanks to Daz changing the SKY to RGB made a huge impovment.
