Matt 2 bloody hours to wire in a 2gang switch  That will teach me not to write down how the old one is connected in :?
Matt It took me even longer because I had to keep going back to the fuse box and turning the power back on, only to find it still not working.
JohnnyN You can't say that you hate electrics until you've done it LIVE!!!! I really should know better but i've had quite a few shocks now and besides turning my brains to mush, I seem to get a fit of the giggles everytime that it happens!! pmsl..
Matt Bollox to that. Worst shock I've had was when I drilled though the live feed into the Electric Cooker in the old house. Blew the plaster off the wall, and it didn't blow the fuse!

blue_se2 lol Me and a mate drilled above a socket (Stupid thing to do) i started then relised so stoped he pushed a screwdriver through the hole then gave it a little nudge bang pushed the screwdriver through the cable I PMSL pulled the screwdriver out no end on it.
Matt That's exactly what I did when I drilled above the cooker. I drilled straight above the plug socket, and didn't think that the cable would be running straight up
Matt I certainly have. At that point I went out and bought a book on DIY http://www.amazon.co.uk/DIY-Know-how-Sh ... 738&sr=8-5
