Vauxhall dealers parts prices

how do they get away with charging so much i phonned today for prices for a new spoiler imscher and sri-t the want 245 for the imscher and 450 for the sri-t whats that all about notsure.gif

have you tried LMF?? they ar eusualy pretty good for prices.

i was just checking vauxhall because i wanted genuine parts but how can they jusify there prices :evil:

yeah they are rip pff merchants. i bought a rear leccy window kit for my veccy a few months back off another site i use. when i got it one of the motors was knackered so out of curiosity i priced one at vx.

the guy at the parts desk laughed at me as it was over £300 for one :shock:

oh and LMF do supply genuine items.

i know they supply imscher and the likes but the gsi-sri-t spoiler is a copy not an original

the prices that vauxhall charge are set by the supplier ,the dealer can sometimes do lower prices but not much,remember the dealer has overheads,you want rip off prices try buying parts for your central heating boiler,i bought a valve off the net for £55 delivered inc a switch,the same parts from a retail outlet was £166+p&p

Fair point solorider, but as you said the vauxhall dealer has overheads, so does the retail plumbing outlet. You would find the same price difference i'm sure if you could get genuine vauxhall parts over the net. It's just a shame the parts you can get are so limited.
