head gasket, anyone else had this

the other day the coolant light came on so i topped the water up

and thought i would have a look at the oil whilst i was there and there was the dreaded mayo on the oil cap so checked the dipstick and there was some on there too, so im thinking ot oh head gasket

it isnt missfiring though nor smoking. I cleaned the mayo away last night and ive been out for a drive in it today and checked the cap and dipstick today and theres none. But i will give it another check later.

The cars only done 51k and made 150bhp on the z22se rolling road day and its stock engine. So im assuming the compression is ok

anyone else had any problems like this at all?

Could be a build up of condensation in the engine if you only do short trips??

i do about 15miles to work and back a day then 30miles at the weekend to see the misses

i was wondering about the condensation with the alloy block

if the coolant colour is still clear then i would put it down to consendation but if its merky then head gasket

ive ordered a coolant water sniffer off eBay so hopefully that might answer the question and put my mind at rest. Went to vaux for a price what it would cost them to do it as i cant afford to take my time and do it. £503.00 think i could do with out that bill this month.

if the water is clear dont worry probaly will be condensation. the coolant goes merky when the oil is mixing with the coolant
