Wheel Wobble Trouble

Hello again to all you fine people,
I am in a quandry with my vectra......again. notsure.gif
Basically i get wheel wobble between 60-78mph & when you are on a ''private road'' between 100-120.
As you accelerate through both speed ranges the wobble is bearable? only just though at the higher speed range. The worst bit is as you reduce the speed/ease off coming back down. At the lower range the wheel vibrates/shudders but at the hgih speed range it is horrendous to say the least. (I have vision's of a clown's circus car with the bits flying off as you go through the speed range)
I had originally thought that it was the tyres which had sealant goo compound but after changing all four recently the vibration has not deminished.
So here i am dunno..
I have been looking at shocks (o/s/r seeping now). I would like to do all them at same time as it has 120k on the clock, but what do you replace them with, are the original's gas or just fluid type?
I have looked at complete systems including sports kits but it is pricey. (I know of a nice RAF chap with a spare Gmax kit but it is about £40-£50 above what i can spend, taking into account all the other tuff that will probably need sorting at the same time). that would be worth getting if he could sell at £150-£160 instead of £200 . 🙁
The drop links are rattling again so they will need doing again. Which is best vx or pattern?
Front lower control arms x2 will need doing i expect or at least the bushes will but it is probably more cost effective to replace pre-assembled?
The model is the CDX hatch with LPG conversion (working ''fingers crossed' 'and just serviced/inspected last month).
So there you go, my tale of Woe and only 4 months after i had to shell out £1400 for a replacement head and chains at christmas .
Bar all of these things the car does what it says on the tin & gives me the equivilent of 58-62mpg in £'s terms.
It is with all the toys as well so what do you think is the best way forward and most cost effective as well???
Basically as far as i can see i am looking at between £325-£385 in bit's plus it will need the mot, tax and insurance around the same time.......... :oops: wtf.gif what..

Forgot to say that i think that the track rod ends would be worth doing also........Never ends with this car..... :shock:

.....I feel bad now, not just about the Gmax kit...... but you had to rub it in about Working LPG noth.

The Vectra with either lpg or on petrol is ok but does not have anywhere near the low down grunt and driveability that you are getting with the kia...........ohhh!!!! and reliability.......... :roll: :roll:

Anyone got any idea's with regards to my problems with the wheel wobble???????
I'm trying to cover all the angle's so i know worst case scenario on costs and time to sort out to get rid of the wobble and have a nice smooth ride,

you need to check the ball joints on the front suspension, then hopefully you will find the problem dunno..

but it could just be wear and tear, so might need some bushes replacing

The car is going up on the ramps v.shortly so i can have another good butchers around.
Has not been up on ramp for a couple of months as i accepted the garages reckoning about the tyre sealant causing the snags. Obviously not the cause so best having a go myself.
Hareng came up with some good advice also on another of my posts so i will investigate that avenue as well.
On the point about lowering the suspension what effect does that have on the setup?. Castor, camber and all that.

Hello all,
Been a busy boy and have changed the front lower arm assy's, drop links and track rod ends on the rack.
Job was not as bad as I had anticipated although the first lower arm was a bit tedious. Maybe because I was being to gently getting it off although I sussed it out and had the other one off and replaced in 25 minutes including checking and retorqueing it all up twice.
Drives a lot better although I can still get a slight clunk from the speed bumps, especially if you have to go one wheel over and cannot straddle them. Looking at anti roll bar bushes now to lay it all to rest and have some peace and quiet.
At the rear I could not budge the rear shock mounting bolts so have some plus-gas on them to free them up so will have the rear shocks done by mid next week. I would have preferred to have a good lowering kit but the price was not right unfortunately so have some Monroe gas o.e. Spec units to replace the defective items. Looked at the front shocks and am tempted to replace them as well for peace of mind.
Still have the vibration but nowhere as bad as before and feels more back than front now so, what goes at the back end, which would cause this problem????
Other option is to borrow my friend’s vectra sri wheels and go for a drive to see what difference they make if any.
Any idea's to help me finally eliminate this vibration would be appreciated,
