Silicone Hoses - stretch or squish?

Hi. I'm in the process of putting together my poor mans' TBs, and I'm just about to get some hose to connect the throttle bodies to the manifold.

The Throttle bodies are 47mm O/D, and the manifold is 50mm O/D. As far as I can see, all I can get is 45mm or 51mm I/D silicone hoses - I've never used silicone hoses before - how much do they stretch? Would I get a 45mm hose over the 50mm inlet manifold, or would I need to get a 51mm one and squash it down?

might be worth getting the 51mm, that should seal with a jubilee clip dunno..

you can get 51-45mm reducers..... they would be better imho. OK you would ahve to try and stretch the 45mm end (or what about getting the TB's turned down on a lathe?)

does silicone hose not really stretch or shrink at all then? surely it must have some give? silicone is usually pretty maleable...

The reducers are about £12.50 each - so that'd end up being quite pricey. If I used a small section of tube I should be able to do it for about £9 for all 4...

I could maybe take a bit off the manifold, but it would be quite difficult... I guess I could always buy some 45mm tube for the TBs, and then slide the 51mm over it to get a good fit. I was going to use the TB injectors as a piggyback though so I really wanted to avoid sharp ridges that might let fuel pool.
