Matt Anyone running this kit: http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_ss_w_h ... .y=0&Go=Go ? I need to get a wired connection from one end of the house to the other, but don't fancy having to run cat5 through the house, and have to then hide all the wires. This looks pretty straight forward, and seem to get very good results.
dodger i personally don't have those but a mate of mine is running something similar, i can find out which one he uses if you want.
Sjdickso Matt, I have used the ethernet to wireless plugs and it was useless. But heard that the ethernet to ethernet are ok. I have heard the netgear ones are fairly good.
Matt It's the netgear ones I've been looking at. It's so I can get a wired connection from my desktop PC in the spare room to the Router in the living room.
Matt Yeah, my wireless can cope quite well with the streaming of the media from the desktop to the 360 at the minute, but it would just be nice to have it a bit faster in places, as it does buffer occasionally.
Hareng Wish they were around about 3 or 4 years ago. Do something similar to three bedrooms and the workshop using CAT5e. Breeze block downstairs but used the central heating pipe covers for the 4 outputs and phone cable. Never liked wireless the only other option at time, but now i can do a lot more.
