Karlosfandango Should a 4 door saloon fail an MOT if one of the rear doors won't open? I can't find any info online but always thought that a car only needs two opening doors eg hatchbacks. Cheers Karl
ecky1972 i think yes as i had the same happen to me a few years ago as a door that does not open is a safty risk that would delay escape from vehicle when needed
Jamee General rule is if it is on/in the car, it should work, but daz will confirm as he is meant to be an MOT tester.
Daz Only the front doors come into the mot as such and have to open from both the inside and outside....however...If the rear doors dont open u might get a fail beacuse the tester could not inspect the rear seatbelts correctly etc....
