I didn't email VX, for a start it takes too long, and there's tremendous scope for them to give you the run around.
When my car was repaired last Easter, VX wouldn't admit to a fault, they wouldn't even admit any recalls/affected cars.
I proved my car was serviced in accordance with VX requirements, and my engine had still worn prematurely.
After the car was repaired, they decided that they would not pay anything towards the repair,
so I was forced to reveal my full knowledge of the problem (field repair, statements of other customers who had their car repaired FOC, etc) and a bit of good old fashioned bullsh*t.
They caved in, and paid 100%, but I had to push them all the way.
You should get a % offer towards the bill, some have had an offer of 40%, but if you play your cards right, you can get VX to cover the entire bill 😃
