i put the manifold and 2.0sc tb and now the car wont start? it turns over but wont catch 🙁 🙁

that sounds like the crank sensor, the engine will not fire if thats disconnected

which 1 vocky the 2 brown or the single blue 1 ?please im desperate and the wife is doing the nut with me for breakin the car :cry:
the 2 brown might have been reconnected wrong by me as they both snapped when i pulled the manifold out

the crank sensor wires are;

pin a = brown
pin b = brown/green

blue wire might be the engine temp wire notsure.gif

a) being the drivers side? i think thats the way i rewired them but im stripping it down tomo to find out

i think thats the prob right there i wired them the other way im sure i did.
well i hope thats all it is.

well i swapped the wires round and it started for a second then died, my bat is flat.
also does the fan always come on when you try to start the engine as ive never noticed it before? dunno..

fan usually means a problem with the ecu, it's in fail safe mode.

could be the blue wire has come out of the water temp sensor on the thermostat housing, it should have two wires

the fan shuts off after bout 5 mins but it is just 1 blue wire, the conector has 4 holes in the back shaped like a diamond and in the front it has 3 openings but just the top hole is open.

neil i remember you saying you made a loom for the tb, are you still useing it?

at the moment im wiring back up the oe tb so i can use the car but left ur manifold on, just waiting on the bat to charge so i can see if its gona fire up

you need to try and find where the blue wire goes

yes I am still using the 2.0 sc tb adaptor loom, makes life a lot easier, but I will probably remove it and rewire the plug as it will never have a 58mm tb again.

well if i get my car running with the normal tb,you could think about selling it to me when you get round to rewiring so i can just plug and play

thank the lord, she is running again, with vockied manifold and no egr ( but old tb is on 🙁 ), and that aint gettin touch till neil decides to rewire his tb.
it was my shabby atempt at rewiring that buggered it up, but i managed to rewire it back to the way it was

so let that be a lesson to ya, dont touch the bloody wiring if your as thick as me :lol:
