k&n panel filter???

hi again guys,
well my problem is im trying to find a panel filter for my vectra, now i can get the later long and bigger filter,but mines the earlier item,smaller and deeper (apparently the same filter as used in the 1.7diesel astra????? can anyone shed any light on this please as the 57i has to go!!! lol notsure.gif 😃 thanks guys!!

The K&N panel filter part number is 33-2771.

If I remember correctly they are roughly £36 ishh.

Definately the correct one as this is what is fitted in my car and the box is still on my shelf in the garage.

bought me a new panel filter with the part number you gave me johnny,and your spot on mate!! so much better than the induction kit!!! having done the mods to your car, where is the extra bhp noticed the most johnny?? top end or all the way through the rev range?? my brother has the gsi, so he`s telling me to just buy a v6 which would give me the same car,but with the extra power the v6 engine provides, however to be honest ive only done my filter box mods,k&n,pre cat removed,and a stainless cat back exhaust and to be honest theres not loads of difference,ok his is defo faster,but its only doing 21mpg so have i just answered my own question whilst gassing on??? !!! :lol: notsure.gif

there was a guy on her who claimed when he put a set of cams in he kept up with the turbo, might be worth a try dunno..

The most noticeable difference believe it or not was after I fitted my Milltek cat back system. The torque gains were huge. I'd gone from a 2 inch cat back system to a 2.5 inch Milltek. I'm currently having a 2.5 inch custom S/S downpipe made up at Courtenays to couple upto my new dbilas 4-1 manifold.

The majority of the other mods were all done at the same time so it was difficult to say which one was more noticeable. I would say that the Schrick cams made a fair difference once they had been fitted. They were added abut 9 months after I had Courtenays CS4 package. Anything from 3500 revs to 6200 revs the car pulls like a train. Peak power is reached at 6200rpm.

im guessing you`ve spent a small fortune on your car then mate!! lol it seems the lads from courtney will be getting a call at some point then. i think manifolds firstly,then at least the engines breathing better,thanks again mate!! cheers..
