richard what are the lambda probes on the 2.2 ZIRCONIA OR TITANIUM? reason i ask is i have a tomco oxygen sensor tester which ive had for ages and i think it only tests zirconia senors but i cant remember
vocky good question, I don't know notsure.gif does the tester have any info or do they have a web site to check from dunno..
richard theres nothing in the instructions about it all they say is connect red lead to signal wire and black to an earth theres only 2 leds on tester one is to show you its on and the other should flash if sensor is ok also think you need to blip the throttle. well its a 35min drive to my workshop so should be up to temp by then will test like that and again when cooled down and see what happens cheers..
richard well tested my lambda sensor tonight with my tester and the led was flashing which should say alls ok with sensor even tho i thought maybe it should have flashed a bit quicker but not sure dunno.. so i used a multi meter set at 2volts to take the readings from sensor what i got was the lowest reading was 128 and the highest was 803 does anyone know from these readings if alls ok or not with sensor or has anybody tested there own and what readings did you get or anybody know what they should be?
richard just been looking and i see the typical range should be 0.2 volts lean and 0.8 volts rich with optimum mixture ratio of around 0.45 volts dont understand my readings at all notsure.gif unless it wasnt fully up to temp will test again tomorrow i think after 45min drive home from work and see what i get then if you guys have anythoughts dunno..
richard so took some more readings today car was fully warmed up low reading was 0.15 and high was 0.84 and kept changeing fairly quickly from low to high etc so good sensor or bad?any body dunno..
