i got same letter from parcel force for £66.25 also 🙁 and like you say total rip off britain. well some people benifit from being in britain but thats a different story

Just to give everyone an update.

I am still waiting on our 2nd shipment of cams from Comp. I have 6 more sets coming with 3 sold and 1 more waiting payment on (soon as I send him payment information) so that leaves 2 sets left.

I am sorry for the delay on the 2nd batch of cams. I will give them a call again tomorrow to find out what is going on and when we should get some cams.

As for everyone else, is the amount they charged a "okay" amount or was it super high?

Just to let everyone know, I put $425.00 USD for Customs & Insurance...

I guess the price you pay for taxes "can" be less if I put less value for Customs but the only problem with that is I can only claim what I put for Customs as for Insurance... for example I cant say 100$ customs and 500$ insurance...

whats annoying is parcel force charge you a fee for their service, typically £15 :roll:

but it saves having your car off the road waiting for piper to turnaround your originals

I still think the price is less than piper anyway dunno..

so will we get cam lube with our cams?if not gotta get some wonder if vauxhall do it. could get some when i get my camshaft retaining bolts

After the 3 units were shipped out I was notified by a customer of mine that it does not come with lube. I was not aware that it needed to come with any lube. I have contacted Comp Cams to see what lube is needed. From my experiance, assembly lube is all that is needed to install cams. I'll double check with Comp just to be on the safe side.

Most the time, Cam companies say "you must use OUR lube ONLY" when in fact, their lube is the same as everyone elses lube with a different name. Another way for them to make even more money....

personally I would advise against posting a liquid with the cams, there would be a strong chance the heavy cams would burst the oil container and then the airport might well not transport them :roll:

much easier to buy some in the uk cheers..

You are a smart man! I never even thought of that..... I bet thats one easy way to make sure the package "never gets delivered" and ends up in the "trash" pile...

cams came today cheers.. havent seen them yet as they are at my mum and dads just gotta find the time to fit them now 😃

My set (the Stage 2 ones) were sent out by Karo on the 19th with the wideband. They're currently in transport to the UK - I'm just praying they don't get customed... I haven't had a huge amount of luck getting stuff from the US 🙂

Yes, your Stage 2 & Innovate Kit shipped out on Saturday do you. You should have it soon hopefully.
