2,4l Inlet but not more Power

Sorry for my bad english. 😉
I am from Hamburg, Germany.

I fitted the 2,4l inlet but nothing happens. 🙁
At the first start, the engine starts pretty normal. No DTC, no controll lamps. Thuesday i had a Dynorun. The engine had 148hp on the flywheel. With new software it has 153HP on the Dyno. After a little runtime it has about 160hp.

My car:
Astra QP
Lexmaul exhaust header with Sportkat
Lexmaul exhaust
Dbilas airfilter

I would fit a vectra intake pipe to allow more air into the tb

also might be worth disconnecting the fpr vacuum pipe to see if that helps dunno..

I still can't figure out why some engines only get a 10bhp increase whilst others get a 20 bhp increase notsure.gif

Another reason why the small gains, could be the route the air goes through to get to the throttle body. It looks like that the guys who have the vx220 gain more is that the air has a more smoother route from the outside of the car into the throttle body than say the Vectra, Astra and the Zafira. Every time air goes around a bend you loose power, the air flow on the Vectra, Astra and Zafira has to come back on itself at the air filter, come up with a way of removing / modifying that bottleneck and chances are you would have gained a bit more.

Hi Snikkit, welcome to the forum.

Your instilation looks alright, but as Vocky mentioned, you might want to try a slightly bigger intake pipe?
I have very similar modifications to you, with the exception that I have a set of fast road camshafts. I recently made 170bhp at the flywheel with No new softwear. So your not doing too badly at 160bhp. Do you have a RR graph we can look at?
