think i must be 1 of the lucky ones who have a Z22se engine
few weeks ago my 2.2 astar sri started sounding like a bag of spanners. came to statrt it 1 morning and bang, then nothing would work. thought bollocks must be the camchain dunno..
took the car to my local Vauxhall dealer, lucky that i knew the girl who runs the service department, she got in touch with Vauxhall and after a great deal of arguement they agreed to stand the cost of any repairs. lucky that the warrenty on the engine had a few days left on it
upon stripping the engine down, the garage found that when the chain snapped, it bent 8 of the valves, so they just banged a brand new one on curtosy of Vauxhall :shock:
saved me at least £1000, car has been great ever since, shame they never got to putting a new engine in lol
