amanda anyone had to have theirs changed? after my timing chain was changed, i still heard a knocking and took it back, here it was the alternator tensioner (which isnt covered by my warranty :evil: as its perishable notsure.gif )
Mark_Dj I know nothing about this, It must be separate part to the chain area or it would have been done. Are they a common thing to go wrong notsure.gif

amanda its in an awkard place to get to so i dont know if that makes any difference in the price. my boyfriends dad is a mechanic so i might get him to do it
Andy there is a guy on vvoc selling a fan belt tensioner for a 2.2 (assume its the same thing lol) and wants £20 plus posting for it. dunno if thats any good to you.
vocky it's just the tensioner for the auxillary drive belt, quite easy to change, although the bolt is a bit hard to remove
