my wife has a y reg rover 25 1.4 and the engine check light has come on in the manual it says contact the dealer if it runs ok for a service if it flashing stop driving the car it runs fine but we have had the car 3 years and nearly done 20k on it if it was only the sevice light surley it must have come on before now and is there any way of resetting it without going to the dealer ie disconect the battery.
