Astra 2.2 GSI

Hi here is a picture of my 2003 Astra 2.2 GSI.

Its got a compleate irmscher kit and a set of 18" Wheels with 215/35/18 Yokohama tyres and some smash and grab window tint.

Engine is stock until the warantee finnished in Aug.

Future plans include some smoked front and rear lights and some engine modifications.

Very nice, I like that alot 😃 . The 5 door version of your car over the Uk is rare 8) . Do you have plans to lower it? 🙂

Yes just a bit. Ita actually a bad picture. The car is on a bit of a slope so it looks a little raised at the front, but i was planning a 20mm drop as the nose is already very low.

Strange you say they are rare. It is opposite here. We only get the 147kw/200Hp 2 door OPC version in 2 door here

I think I have only seen one 5 door version of your car in real life. It will look nicer again when you get the front and rear lights fitted. Are you going for Irmscher rear lights like I have on my silver car?

Cool, it's nice to see another kitted Irmscher Astra 🙂. I thought my car needed lowering at the front more but it all depends on how level the ground is, if I went any lower with mine I think the Irmscher bumper would hit the floor more. My car is lowered 30mm all round This is my front end...

Just had a look at your car. Looks very good. 😃 😃

I am planning to get the same front lights as you have or a set of angel eyes. For the rear lights we get a darker version of the current lights i have here. I was planning to fit those eitherwise i will maybe import a set of irmsher rear light like yours as they are not avalible locally here

Looks great i really love the 2 doors
Yea i have some pretty huge speed bumps where i stay so lowering it more than 20 will not be practical.

Did your car come kitted as standard or did you fit it afterwards?

Mine came standard with the Irmscher kit but the front bumper was optional as it's a full Irmscher bumper, the last owner also had the Irmscher rear top spoiler fitted and I bought the Irmscher grill the other day. Cheers 🙂

No not really. Its not a popular car here, but as a precaution i have smash and grab proof windows which can withstand small bullets so i feel pretty safe.

Yes its 108Kw which converts to 144 bhp.

No not that bad here i just like taking precautions 😃

I used to have a Corsa 1.6 GSI which had branches, free flow, filter, chip, induction kit and a gasflowed cylinder head. It was a real fun toy. So i might do the same to the astra or maybe go the supercharger or turbo route.

All depends on what i can afford.

Supercharger or turbo route would be great to see. Only one on here with a Supercharger at the moment. We could do with a few more Turbo Z22 engines on the forum to hear how good they are 😛

There is a dedicated opel tuning specialist here that offers supercharger and turbo conversions from 250bhp to 400bhp but a bit pricy if i convert it works out at about 3500 Pounds
