MK5 VXR springs on a MK4 2.2

I have heard a few people have done this? App they are slightly lower and stiffer then standard springs.

I have checked the total weight of both cars and app the VXR is heavier, so the springs in theory should be ok?

Mk4 weight = 1210 kg
VXR = 1230 kg

I've also read that, might be a cheap upgrade dunno..

koni springs are usually under £100, eibach are usually about £150, so if you could get a set for £50 might be worth a go 🙂

Just found out from a MK4 owner that has tried it and the springs and struts on the MK5 are larger, so it wont work.
