sdbutler10 today was driving about then i started to hear a knocking noise from the front on pull aways. i jacked up the front and checked all the bushes and suspension nothing wrong with that, checked the drive shafts all seem ok. so i then rocked the front wheel and i could hear a noise from the gearbox like a cloncking. i dont knpw if they are ment to do this or is my box up the shitter??? https://s201.photobucket.com/albums/aa10 ... vocky they will make a light knocking noise doing that, but it does sound louder than normal might be a cv going dunno..
sdbutler10 i have cked them and they are all solid i was wondering if it was the diff. i know i have never heard them that loud before. i have found a g-box with 3 month warranty for £199
vocky the way to check a cv is to hold the driveshaft with one hand and the cv with the other, then twist the driveshaft backwards and forwards whilst feeling for any play.
sdbutler10 well did what u sed vockey and ur right was the shaft i naffed up both inner and outer joints so i got a price for a new shaft today of £95+vat does that sound ok?
