Throttle Body +3-5bhp +Torque

there was a tb that finished on ebay yesterday at £112.00 + postage its was a 2.2 which had been ported etc.

Modified by Headtune UK to the following specification:

All casting and pitting marks removed & smoothed
Internals re-profiled
Highly polished internals
Leading edge of butterfly 'knife-edged'
Obstructive casting step before butterfly smoothed into the body
Throughly cleaned & degreased
Throughly lubricated
Warranted against throttle spindle breakage*

just wondered whats the diffrence between vocky's and this one

Sounds like nothing at all, just ported and serviced TB.

I very much doubt that it will add 3-5bhp either.

I followed Vockys guide. Was dead easy to do and a well worthy mod

The one on fleabay didnt even have the counter sunk bolts in!

thats the one I was on about :roll:

it look's like a polished throttle body, anyone can do that with some metal polish :?

mine are ported, countersunk screws fitted and finally a light polish, I made a guide too 🙂

It probably looks 'more ported' due to the fact its almost mirror finished... Vocky knows how far these things can go as he expressed concerns about the thickness of the alloy in areas.

Anywhoo, rather than spending _£120... goto B&Q, Buy a Dremel for £40 and spend 1-2hours doing your own. Then youve got a Dremel left over and the smugness that you've just saved yourself £80 for upto 2hours work! Yes it really is very easy, just take it steady 🙂
