OK, I'm hoping everyone will follow suite and post up there RR results and modifications so we can try and establish what power gains can be gained from each.
I have the following: -
Dbilas flowmaster induction kit including the huge air scoop and K&N panel Filter
2.4L intake manifold
Dbilas cast exhaust manifold
2.25" Blueflame exhaust system from the manifold back
200 cell HJS cat (No EML's) no pre cat.
Piper fast road cams
Blanked off EGR valve
Fuel Pressure regulator operating from atmospheric pressure
Standard managment and standard map.
reuslts: -
169.9BHP @ 6268rpm
164 lbft @ 4752rpm

To be honest, Id have been a lot happier with 180BHP, and I'm speculating that with a remap it might have got there, but I am very happy that the typical 2.2 torque dip has been drastiacally improved, and boy can you feel it on the road especially around town. The toque might not climb until 3700rpm, but at least it dosent dip right off before it, and never drops below 145 ftlb until over 6000rpm.
Just shows that the torque loss from a 2.4l intake can be easily restored and improved with a good exhaust manifold.
I'm hoping the peak power can be improved aswell, whilst the powers strong right to the limmit it does level off a little. Speaking with Dr robets, he seems to think that the torque chatter as it drops away is caused by the engine struggeling for air dunno.. . Im hoping that the 2.4L TB sat under the stairs waiting to go on will sort this out once we have a fix for it, so fingers crossed.
