SRI -T Rims and un-even tyre wear

I have some SRi-T rims and the last couple of time i have had to replace tyres it has always been the inner parts that have worn faster then the rest.

Ther wheels always balance up well and dont need that much lead. I have the tracking checked on a regular basis.

Just checked today after the RR and both fronts are shot, main part of the tread has around 3 /4 mm left and inner is on the limit now.

Does anyone else suffer from this. dunno..

What sort of mileage are they covering before you need to renew?

Also, what sort of mileage is on the car? Are your suspension bushes and dampers on the way out? Its recommended that you replace dampes every 50k. They are items that obviously wear out over time and you would not notice this.

I have just checked and they have done 11k

The car has just done 78K, ride and handling seem fine. But i have got a odd noise that i thought was my steering rack but Daz thinks it could be track rod end or somthng.

I am going to have a massive checkup on everything once the mani comes. I am getting it in to my garge for a full day for everything to be checked out.

lowered springs will help, but as above, check out all the ball joints and bushes

What kind of price am i looking at to get all the ball joints and bushes to be changed?

it won't need every ball joint changing, but might be worth fitting poly bushes dunno..

Is this the correct bush that clamps the anti roll bar onto the chassis? i see someplaces list 16mm other list 18mm ??

Just bought the bushes.

Can anyone confirm, the correct OEM part numbers for track rod ends for my car and also the rubber clamp, think i should get vauxhall own stuff when it comes to sterring stuff really.

Will my car have to be tracked up after fitting the bushes dunno..

Seems about uve listed pretty much all you need above si....

Track rod ends are according to last years trade club book £14.25+vat each..part no 93186537...

Might be worth changing the track rod's also as the inner ball joint(under the boot) tends to wear also...

I'd definately get the tracking done again once the bushes have been fitted. They're going to be all nice and stiff which will alter things slightly.

Cudnt find one for the rod si,ones for mine were about £15 iirc...
