Irmscher handbrake lever

Just ordered a titanium irmscher handbrake cover, this is the last part to fininsh the interior on my coupe, already got the pedals, door pins, steering wheel and gearknob.

Anyone fitted one of these,how does the old one come off??

Gazza; I can feel a how to coming on here if no one has done one.

Does the new one just glue on, as there is some glue in the kit.

Just ordered it from LMF. £47.49 inc delivery, quite a good deal.

im sure you have to cut the old one off and the new one will slide on with a bit of glue to hold it 😃

if you do cut it be carfull no to cut the button 😃

I've done this mod on my Vectra and I was pooping myself at the thought of using a hacksaw in the car.

You can try an remove it by pulling and twisting like a body builder on steroids OR use a hacksaw VERY carefully and slowly. Once off it just a case of using the special cleaner that comes with the new Irmscher lever and then coating the exposed handbrake with the special glue. This is seriouly messy stuff but once it goes off its like rock hard. I did mine before I put the car away over night so it had about 15 hours to go off. Once the glue is on, slip the new lever in place and position to where you want it. Reposition the gaitor and leave to set. I went back out and hour later after I did it and the glue was still wet so don't panic, have patience and leave it alone once done.
