Well the 2.4 manifold completley killed what torque my car had. Personally, unless the larger throttlebody restores some of the torque I will be inclined to get rid.
I found fitting Piper cams didn't really loose any of the lowdown power and did give a healthy boost over 5,500rpm. I believe piper quote the power band around 6,200-6,800rpm so If you don't really go over 5k, then you won't really be getting the benefit. The big negative on the cams for me though is the rough idle. My vx220 is a 3rd car and is used for fastroad / track only so I can put up with the poor idle. Personally I would of put the old cams back in by now if it was my daily drive.
