Gutted i am, he was a true legend, he had the vision on cars and was a true mod god, RIP mate, my thoughts are with his family, especially his son who has recently only joined the business properly.

Umm, a bit shocked and don't really know what to say.

I've watched most of the American Hotrod programs, not that I'm a big Stateside Hot Rod fan.
Boyd and his crew are true masters of their profession, especially Boyd's great friend and no.1 employee the late Roy Schmidt, panel beater extraordinaire.
What that man could do with a sheet of tin and a couple of hammers was nobody's business.

A 1956 Chevy rescued from a scrappy and restored beyond belief.

A great, great loss, and I'm sure we'll never see the likes of Boyd again.

I've havnt long watched the last series shown on u.s tv..and boyd had bloated out a hell of alot and looked pretty unwell tbh.....I never knew roy had died tho...
