well my misses has had a drive in a corsa cdti and she liked it but then she drove 307hdi and she loves it now i have tried to tell he about the probs with french cars but she wont listen she wants it

now have they got any better over the years and does any have any experiance with the 307 hdi ?

dont get a pug 4 gods sake lol drive alrate dont they though but very slow i think myself ? we had one in 4 its first mot horn didnt work and had a nice oil leak say no more i say! ball joints wear alot,dunno m8 up 2 u! the way i look at it whos gunna be paying 4 it wen it need sum thing doing? OR WHOS gunna b doing it lol

The hdi's are pretty bullet proof gaz,the odd few suffer with head gasket probs,crank pullys falling to bits ,apart from that never seen any other probs with them in work,there quite a large car also,alot bigger than i expected tbh....theres the 1.4 hdi 68bhp,more suited to the 206 tbh...but the 2.0 hdi's come in either90 bhp or 110bhp varients,both pull really well.

2l hdi want a speck 2 my mg zr 2l td thumbd i know pugs hav a lot of Electrical probs more than ot

well she is set on the 110 version i think

she never liked the corsa that much but i did 😃

and she dont have the cash for golf so i think i will have to cave in and get a 307 for her🙁

the dual mass flywheels are fairly weak on the 307 had to change quite a few at work

Aint done a dual mass on a 307 yet....fitted shitloads to focus's and vw's and skoda's

Electrical faults, Duel mass flywheel, snapping front springs with only 15k on the clock, shocks after 12k, fuel pumps............. ,well that's just the vectra C's common faults. I've had over £8000 worth of warranty work done on my C, admittedly £2000 of that was the fault of he dealer putting my z22se back together wrong and it went bang, but still £6000 on a 2 year old car is not good. I had a couple of pugs, a 205 and a 1.8xs 306 both of which were totally bullet proof. I just think its the sign of the times mate. All newer cars seam to have a big list of faults nowadays. They just don't make them how they used to.

Our firm runs a fleet of about 50 307's (110 hdi)

Major problems seem to be;

Brakes (30,000 miles a year isn't enough to stop them seizing on, apparently ? )
Turbo's
Head gaskets
Un-even tyre wear due to premature ball joint/suspension rubber failure
Engine electrical faults, many and varied.
& 2 spontaneously combusted for no (according to Peugeot) apparent reason notsure.gif

Other than that, great little motors !

Don't forget the fuel pumps our main dealer says they are a common fault. We've replaced 2 high pressure pumps and about 3 or 4 in tank pumps.

well guys we just been out to check one over it was dark but she just couldnt wait to see one she loves it and i must say for only 110 bhp it went well i never drove it but the misses over took a lorry and the pull was great in it,ok no where near the astras top end but exaleration was good.

just wondering if anyone knows any good tunning companys for the pugs ?

i see on superchips they claim they can get an extra 36bhp out of it ?

For styling look at Ecosse they are the best about for pugs, Irmscher are now doing stuff for pugs also.

The irmscher stuff is called RC Line, there was some Pugs under development in the Irmscher Factory when Vec C went to Germany last year.
